Thanks for the great support and attendance from West Central Region. Our region had the highest registration and actual attendance from all the 8 regions!!!
I'm sure most of us feel that we have effective working relationships with our state legislators, but it does have a HUGE impact when we coverge on the capitol in large numbers. I always enjoy seeing persons with MU Extension nametags walking each and every hallway, as they make legislators visits during the day!
Cass County supporters shared some strong impact from their meetings with our legislators. All those in attendance felt that it was crucial to make those visits on the legislators turf.

Our Lafayette County delegation felt their meetings with our legislators went very well. Even though we currently have great support from our legislators, taking time to visit them in Jefferson City on Legislative Day to share Extension program highlights has great impact. It's important for the legislators to hear from our Council members. This year, one of our County Commissioners also participated. As the County Commission representative on our Extension Council, he felt it was highly important this year that he attend Legislative Day so the legislators would realize how the County Commission values University of MO Extension as a resource, and the need for state funding to sustain our programs.
